Fendt 200 Vario V/F/P to be awarded a gold medal at the Demopark

The vehicle concept of the new range is convincing

The new Fendt specialty tractor range, 200 Vario V/F/P, will be awarded a gold medal at the Demopark 2009 international exhibition in Eisenach.  The organiser of the Demopark, the Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Maschinenbaus, a part of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation), made this announcement on 21 April. The awards ceremony will take place on the opening day of the Demopark in Eisenach.

“The 200 Vario V/F/P from Fendt is a completely newly developed narrow track tractor for specialty and municipal applications. Unique in this class is the continuously variable Vario transmission, which has a much higher efficiency than hydrostats. The driving and hydraulic functions are controlled with a tried and tested multi-function joystick. Also worth mentioning is the new compact radiator layout and the flat floor in the comfortable cab.” Those were the words the expert jury, comprising trade journalists from the trade journals Agrartechnik, Motorgeräte und Baumatechnik, bi galabau, Lohnunternehmen, Kommunaltechnik and Greenkeepers Journal, used to explain their choice for the award.

“The award clearly shows that the Vario transmission is also the future of technology in the specialty tractor segment. I am very pleased that our work has been worthwhile. The realisation of this project was only possible with the support of a dedicated and innovative team,” said Walter Wagner, Project Manager 200 Vario Development, proudly.
Some 150 innovations were submitted for the Demopark Innovations Competition. The jury awarded 16 of these medals. Of these, six gold medals were awarded for exceptionally outstanding innovations.
