The 200 Vario V/F/P was named the “Tractor of the Year 2010” at the Agritechnica on Sunday, 8 November 2009. For the jury, comprising 20 chief editors from leading European agricultural journals, the 200 Vario V/F/P is the Tractor of the Year in the category specialty tractors. The jury: “It offers technology never before seen in specialty tractors.” Dr. Heribert Reiter, Managing Director Fendt Development and Walter Wagner, Project Manager 200 Vario V/F/P in Development, accepted the distinguished award.

“This confirms that we are a great step ahead technologically with the 200 V/F/P; this is particularly significant because of the international evaluation system of the award,” explained Dr Reiter. Highlights, such as the continuously variable Vario transmission, the ideal operating concept including a multi-function joystick and the flat cab floor, united in the compact design of a specialty tractor convinced the jury on all accounts.

The Tractor of the Year has already been awarded 13 times. The award-winners are determined in the categories standard tractors, specialty tractors and design, using a multi-level points system. Germany is represented in the jury by Hans Günter, the chief editor of the trade journal "Lohnunternehmer".
