Yesterday a delegation from the German Farmers' Association, including President Gerd Sonnleitner and the General Secretary Dr Helmut Born, together with a delegation from the German Agricultural Society (DLG), headed by Dr Reinhard Grandke, visited the Fendt stand. By coincidence, while they were there, the jury of the “Machine of the Year” competition brought the pleasing news that Fendt had received four of these coveted awards this year: for the new 200 Vario and 800 Vario ranges, as well as for the 200 Vario V/F/P specialty tractors and the Fendt hybrid combine.

Peter-Josef Paffen, Spokesman for the Fendt Management and Roland Schmid, Fendt Marketing Director gave the notable visitors a tour through the stand and presented the Fendt Agritechnica innovations. Sonnleitner congratulated the Fendt team for their outstanding product portfolio and was pleased to have the opportunity to attach the “Machine of the Year” awards to the award-winning machines.

The “Machine of the Year” has been awarded since 1997 and now, in 2010, the competition was held with an international jury for the first time. In addition to agricultural equipment journalists from leading trade journals from the German publishers Deutscher Landwirtschaftsverlag (dlv), several international dlv partners were also members of the jury: agricultural equipment media companies from Denmark, Germany, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden and Hungary.
